America’s Christian Heritage

Almost every generation alive today has been under a different impression concerning the role of Christianity in government than was originally intended. It began to take root in the Supreme Court ruling “Engel v. Vitale” in 1962 which struck down school sponsored prayer, and furthered on by the same court in 1963 decision “Abington School District v. Schempp” which struck down mandatory Bible reading in schools. These decisions, along with the misapplied phrase ‘Separation of Church and State’ have shaped our current educational system, and by it, our nation. Many of us have grown up to believe that this is what our founders meant for America… but that simply is not the truth.

One example to site (among many) would be the great George Washington’s address to the Lenape Indian chiefs in Delaware on May 12, 1779 when he said this: “You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. These will make you a greater and happier people than you are. Congress will do everything they can to assist you in this wise intention; and to tie the knot of friendship and union so fast, that nothing shall ever be able to loose it.”

In all the history lessons you’ve received, how many times were you taught of our Christian Heritage? Were you aware that the triune Government we have - the Judicial, Legislative and Executive branches were based on Isaiah 33:22 which states: “For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, The Lord is our king; he will save us.”? God blessed our nation because we honored God.

Now may I ask: Have you noticed a change in our youth since the mid 1960’s? Is it possible that there’s a correlation between ejecting God from the public schools and the godlessness we currently see in our society today? What would our forefathers think of America today considering the last Supreme Court Justice confirmed could not define what a woman was? God help us!

If we’re truly going to Make America Great Again, we must first Make America Godly Again. It’s my intention if elected as your House Delegate to make our children priority. To inject Biblical Principles back into our education system - as our Founding Fathers expected, and as America did for its first 180 years in existence. I’m asking for your vote on May 12th. God bless.
